SPN: Sweet Memories

A little bit of a spoiler for 5.16 - hope it's not too bad for those who haven't seen it. But for those of you who know what this is about, you know what a great scene this was. I was so inspired by it that I knew I had to draw it. I know I draw lots of sketches for Supernatural, but I wanted this one to be a lot more special.

This was quite challenging, with the coloring style, background, and fireworks. It's the most fun I've had with CG'ing in a while though. Been working on it on and off for about 2-3 weeks now. I work so slow *fails* But hey, I'm proud of myself for finishing it. This definitely wasn't a piece I wanted to leave undone. So yay for that!

I ran into a community on Livejournal the other day, that dedicates itself to sending postcards to the Supernatural crew. They posted some pictures of their offices, where they took their favorite postcards and had them displayed all over their walls. My friend was lucky enough to have hers make it on there - which isn't a shocker because it's a beautiful piece. I'm so lucky to have one myself! Anyway, since we're confirmed for a season 6, I'd definitely want to send in one or some once they start filming again. This could be one of them. That's why I worked on a bigger file. The original for this is actually about 8x10 inches. Wow. I never work at those sizes, unless it's for a t-shirt design.
